Textured Oak Cabinetry

A Georgian remodel with an industrial edge in Monkstown, Dublin.

Textured oak cabinetry to contrast stainless steel features and appliances in the open plan kitchen, connecting the buildings original features with their new modern interior.

Burr oak wardrobes and matching drawer unit in the master bedroom with carved oak handles.

St. Canice’s, Kilkenny – Church Furniture

Late in 2015 Dunleavy Bespoke were commissioned by St. Canice’s in Kilkenny to design and make alter furniture and church seating taking reference from the Gothic features of the chapel building.

Macassar Bedroom Furniture

Luxurious Art Deco inspired suite of bedroom furniture in Macassar ebony with quartered veneer patterning, burr walnut, ebonised walnut and white metal detailing throughout.

The headboard in Macassar ebony and stylish ottoman are upholstered with decadent cream leather. The adjacent bedside tables, in Macassar ebony and burr walnut, have hand sculpted legs in ebonised walnut and white metal detailing.

The maple interior of the chest of drawers and armoire were highly customised to store the couple’s envious accessories collections.

The coat stand is hand sculpted in solid walnut. The piece is crafted using an intricate stack laminating technique which creates a visually striking layered effect when sculpted.

“We met the very talented Dunleavy Brothers two years ago. Tim and Sean are two really lovely decent guys. Their pieces on display at a show really caught our attention. They were all stunning, one of kind, original and individual. Since then we have commissioned them to make an incredible dining room table and side board, utterly amazing office furniture for two and a master bedroom collection (headboard, side tables, chest of drawers, mirror, ottoman and armoire) that are like nothing we have seen or could have imagined.

The time spent with Tim discussing our needs and ideas, going back and forth with their design suggestions and adding in our bit has been so satisfying and rewarding. The end products are utterly bespoke and are beautiful to the eye and to the touch. The pieces are all works of art that we use and interact with every day and will be with us and enjoyed for a lifetime, and handed down through the generations.”

Esker Maps Chest and Display Cases

Photographed in situ in our client’s Limerick home, these bespoke cabinets were designed to house their extensive collection of ancient artefacts and vellum maps.

The fine carving, soft oil finish, adjustable glass and lighting illuminate the artefacts beautifully and accentuate their previous and fragile nature.

Helical Dining Suite

Dining table and chairs in solid American Black walnut, hand sculpted to reveal angular helical-like curlicue forms, representing the movement, complexity and contortion of water flows cutting through a floodplain.

Commissioned by Dublin clients as a statement dining suite complementing their open plan space.

Esker Home Office Furniture

A highly customised double home office for Dublin clients who often work from home. The work-space was designed by considering the ideal layout of their computer screens, accessible cable management and functional storage.

In solid oak with a bleached oil finish, our esker-inspired ridge patterning flows continuously over all surfaces on each side of the room. While very much a pair, each is individual.

Chalet, France

An exciting mid-century inspired collection delivered to a beautiful french ski chalet late in 2015, including a Siberian walnut dining suite.

Beautifully figured walnut was selected for this natural, live edge design, exposing the natural edge of the tree. Decorative butterfly keys provide a subtle contrast in African wenge.

To accompany the table, 12 leather upholstered walnut chairs with 2 carver end chairs.
